The Perfect Place for a Low-Key Snow Day!

If you are looking for a low key snow day where you can play in some powder, Snoqualmie Pass is the PERFECT place to go!

Being from San Diego, my husband and I had never experienced powder like this before, and we finally figured out why everyone is obsessed with non-machine made snow (it's a million times better)!

We ended up driving to Snoqualmie Pass with no real set plan as to where we would stop, but we found ourselves near Snoqualmie Summit over by the Alpine West Ski & Snowboard School.

For those of you interested in taking a snow day over here, I would also highly suggest bringing a camera along, as I was able to find some great spots to take pictures of the surrounding mountains (see below).

A Few Pit Stop Suggestions...

If you are looking to make a few nearby pit stops, I would recommend stopping by Salish Lodge, which overlooks the scenic Snoqualmie Falls (another place for amazing photos with the option to do a small hike). They have an amazing restaurant there, so it's the perfect place to fuel up either before or after your trip to Snoqualmie Pass / Snoqualmie Summit area!

Nearby Hotels to Look into...

  1. Salish Lodge (my favorite!)*
  2. Summit Inn (right nearby the ski/snowboard slopes)
  3. Airbnb (tons of great options)!

Enjoy!

I hope this helps all of you looking for the perfect snow day adventure! Have fun out there!
