About this place

Added by Rayne Grein

This was one of the most unique climbs I've done. Climbing next to the second highest waterfall in Western Canada then crawling through a 60m tunnel.

  • Summit Elevation- 991 ft
  • Named after Bernie Schiesser and Sid Marty- Park warden at the time- Takakkaw is derived from a cree word meaning “It is wonderful”
  • 5.6- 12 pitches- Mixed

Park in the designated parking area for Takakkaw Falls in Yoho National Park, Follow a paved trail to the base of the waterfall then continue up the short scree approach to the left of the falls. Fairly easy fun climb.
