The Lions Gate Bridge is a Vancouver classic for photographers in the area. It offers amazing night photography opportunities and is a great spot to watch the sunset.
Park at the parking lot at Prospect point in Stanley Park to begin your photography adventure. The first photo opp is from the walkway on the Lions Gate, at about the middle of the bridge and looking to the left towards the Seawall. This is the perfect sunset spot.
Once it gets dark, head to the bottom of the bridge to take some shots of the bridge lights. If you head there after it rains, you will see some great reflections of the bridge in the massive puddles.
You can walk all the way across the bridge to get to the bottom or you can drive across towards Park Royal mall and wind your way through the side streets to drive straight to the bottom. You can set "Lions Gate Wastewater Plant" as a pin on Maps and figure your way down from there.
