About this place

Hike an easy, short trail along Hell's Creek to a set of two beautiful waterfalls, plunging at heights around 6, and 12 meters

Directions: From Grande Cache, drive north on Highway 40 for exactly 11.5 kilometers, turn left onto the dirt road (also spotted with hundreds of protruding rocks) and continue along that road for about 0.7 kilometers, until it hits a dead end at the sheer and sudden drop off into the creek valley.

The trail follows Hell's Creek at a steady incline as it winds through the lush alpine forest for about 0.6 kilometers one way. It is a very enjoyable hike for families with young ones, and also dogs. In the winter, you can ice climb the falls, and snowshoe the trail. As you come upon the falls, there will be several viewpoints; the first one will be a view of the double dropping falls, then you can continue on wards to a close up and interacting view of the upper falls (which are the smaller ones), then if you keep on the trail from there, you can overlook both of the falls from above.

*Be very careful as some of the steep cliff edges have collapsed into the valley, and the remaining cliffs are extremely unstable.*
