About this place

Added by Nathan Chan

Distance: 16km (10mi) roundtrip. Elevation gain: 700m (2300ft). Rushing rivers, impressive waterfalls, serene forests and massive glaciers. Glacier fed lakes, epic mountains and starry nights.

Do you like rushing rivers, impressive waterfalls, serene forests and massive glaciers? How about glacier fed lakes, epic mountains and starry nights to boot? This is it, all of it in one place.

Beginning at the trailhead 50km west of Radium in British Columbia, this 16km hike runs over and around various rivers as it gains an easy 700m of elevation gain. The well marked path leads above and beyond the tree line until finally emerging into a massive valley. A skip and a hop more and you'll be standing on the edge of this crystal blue lake with a stunning backdrop!

Spend time enjoying those amazing sandwiches you brought and wait for the sunset, if you're spending the night, for photos. Definitely don't be afraid to go for a quick dip in this crystal clean lake. Go explore along the right side of the lake and try to get as close to the actual glaciers as you can before starting the return trip.

Stunning!
This was an amazing hike. My 6 year old niece hiked in and out, roughly 18k round trip. Would definitely do this again!

One Of The Most Rewarding Hikes
Did this last summer, totally rewarding with beautiful views and tons to look at on the way. A nice day hike. Would totally recommend.
