About this place

Added by Dan Duerden

Beautiful beaches with an open, rugged coastline in Point Renfrew, British Columbia.

The loop trail is a short 3.5km trail that is well maintained and open year round. There's negligible elevation gain and aside from the odd slippery section the trail is easily accessible for all ages and skill levels.

It is definitely busy in the Spring and Summer months but is manageable in the Fall and often empty in the winter months!

There are many other small trails to explore along the way, including lots of places around the bay to relax in the sun.

For those feeling more adventurous you can head down the Juan De Fuca Marine Trail towards Parkinson Creek and get even more amazing scenery as you hike down the coastline. This can add up to 20km to your route as a hike-in-hike-out.

Or you can place cars at the two parking lots and hike one-way.

I highly recommend doing parts, if not all, of the JDF trail!

Enjoy the adventure!
