About this place

Added by Mike Fennell

Take a leisurely stroll around Ross Lake on the Rainmaker Trail while enjoying views of the gorgeous lake and surrounding mountain peaks.

The turnoff for Ross Lake Provincial Park is 3.3 km east of the Hazelton Visitor Center. Take Ross Lake Road for 1.5 km until it ends at the parking lot.

The Rainmaker Trail is an easy 3.5 km hike along the perimeter of Ross Lake. The trail is very well maintained and is just about flat the entire way. Views of the lake can be had along the whole trail, but the best view for sunset is at beach by the parking lot as it looks west over the lake with the Hazelton Mountains as a backdrop. You can walk the trail in either direction you please.
