Situated between French Beach Provincial Park and Jordan River, Sandcut Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches along the Juan de Fuca trail.
The adventure begins during the rugged wooded hike from the gravel parking lot to the stunning beach (10 minutes). Once you reach the stone and pebble beach, plant yourself down to enjoy the 180 degree view of the Juan de Fuca Strait (and a picnic lunch if you’ve come prepared!).
Head east to find a majestic waterfall only a few minutes’ walk away. Continue past the waterfall to explore sandstone cliffs and large craggy rocks.
On your walk back from the falls, you can spot Jordan River just north of the beach (which looks particularly spectacular at dusk!). Make sure to pack a headlamp or two, as you’ll likely want to enjoy the breathtaking sunset from the beach.
