About this place

Added by Moe Lauchert

Cliff side view of the Atlantic. Secluded. Multiple Hikes. Uncrowded during early and late season. Fresh Seafood. Incredibly hospitable staff. Private beach. Plenty of gasoline and food.

Some friends and I recently rode our motorcycles up to Cape Breton where our final destination was Meat Cove. It's the northern most point accessible by motor vehicle. In the morning we hiked to a scenic cliff side and were welcomed warmly by friendly staff. We spent the day at the private beach and riding around the dirt roads. It's an incredibly secluded area so be sure to bring enough supplies. During the on-season, camping can be incredibly limited but during the early off-season the entire campground is empty. Every site has a fire pit and during the regular season there is fresh seafood and beer.
