Maynard Mine Trail

Maynard Mine Trail is a good choice if you're looking for decent elevation gain to get the hear rate up. The trailhead is at Andreas Canyon (in the Indian Canyons). 

The trail has a rapid elevation gain of 2300' in the first 2.5 miles. The entire trail, out and back, is about 6 miles. The actual mine is anticlimactic. It's more like a 20' deep hole in the ground. A few hundred yards above the mine is a WWII era compressor that's pretty cool.

There is a fee of $12/adult and $6/child to enter the Indian Canyons.
