It’s a great dirt trail for all skill levels and features scenic views and beautifully budding wildflowers. You’ll get to escape the city and take in the breathtaking sights of the Los Angeles basin and the Santa Monica Bay along with Catalina, Saddleback Peak, and Chino Hills. Apparently, this loop was a favorite of Will Rogers, an American stage and film actor.
Once you’ve completed the hike, enjoy a meal in the picnic area located at the far end of the main parking lot. Both tables and BBQ grills are provided.
This hike is family and dog-friendly (dogs must be leashed) and accessible year round. The park can get quite crowded on weekends and peak times of the day, so visit earlier in the day to avoid this traffic. Note that there is a parking fee.
