Cypress Grove Trail via South Shore Trail is a family-friendly loop hiking trail located near Carmel-by-the-Sea, California. Along this hike in Point Lobos State Natural Reserve, you'll get a chance to see beautiful coastal views with rugged cliffs, views across Monterey Bay, and Cypress trees as you stroll through Cypress Grove.
There are benches to take a rest along the trail and restrooms at the Cypress Information Center. At the center, you may run into volunteers who can provide additional details about the reserve.
NOTES:
There is a fee to drive into Point Lobos State Natural Reserve -- CA state parks pass is accepted. Additional parking is available along Highway 1 outside of the reserve for free.
Dogs are not permitted in the reserve.
The trail is not stroller-friendly as it narrows at points and has a few steps and rocks along the path. If you have an infant, this trail can be hiked with a carrier.
