About this place

Added by Outbound

Dead Falls Lake Trail is an almost 8-mile trail in Shasta National Forest featuring remote alpine lakes and a spectacular mountain summit, perfect for a long day hike or backpacking adventure.

The Dead Falls Lake Trail is perfect for families, dog, and all adventurers. In the spring and summer, there are gorgeous and abundant wildflowers. There is a perfect lunch spot at Deadfall Lake.

Close to the gargantuan Shasta, Mount Eddy is the highest peak in the Klamath Mountain. Mount Eddy offers staggering scenery, solitude and a variety of wilderness landscapes. The lake is in a bowl surrounded by gorgeous mountain peaks. Hiking boots are strongly recommended.

Campsites are available at Middle Deadfall Lake. Please avoid camping at Upper Deadfall Lake as it's a fragile area.
