Steelhead Beach in Forestville, California is a great location for outdoor activities along the Russian River.
Steelhead Beach offers two great spots to access the river. There's a small beach on the right-hand side of the beach (south end) and a launch site on the left (north end) of the beach. The launch point makes for a great spot to start your float down the river. Make sure you have a shuttle car or plans to get picked up wherever you get out.
Pets:
This beach is dog-friendly. Please keep your pup on a leash.
Parking:
There are two big parking lots at Steelhead which require a small fee ($7 as of 2023) to park at. There are also bathrooms in the parking lot.
