Relative solitude and (when the conditions are right) some of the best skimboarding in the skimboarding capital of the world.
Laguna Beach is both the birthplace *and* and the capital of skimboarding, and for good reason: it boasts an impressive array of beaches where (if you know where to look) you can find one where the conditions are right for one of the most difficult but rewarding of water sports.
Table Rock is one such beach, with the narrow channel between Table Rock and the rocky reef to the south often creating a steep drop off that, when conditions are right, make for some excellent skimmable waves.
To get there park along the PCH and walk down Table Rock Drive to the long flight of steps that lead down to the beach. Then head south (left) about 10 yards. You can't miss it.
Afterwards head over to Victoria Skimboards, where it all began.
