Monte Rio Community Beach

Monte Rio Community Beach is located in the Sonoma County town of Monte Rio. The beach nestles up to the Russian River offering a great chance for families to kick back and relax by the water or bring your kayak or stand-up paddle board for fun on the water.

Dog-Friendly:

Monte Rio Community Beach is dog-friendly, but please remember to keep your pup on a leash. 

Activities: 

Aside from lounging in the sun or packing a picnic, there are plenty of other activities available at Monte Rio Family Beach. The currents at this location in the river are typically very gentle, making it a great place to swim. There are also nearby kayaks, paddleboards, and canoe rentals so you can explore the tranquil waters and surroundings. 

If you're up for it and have a shuttle care, there's always tubing down the river too!

Looking for out-of-the-water activities, there are also volleyball courts at the beach.

There are abundant shaded areas and picnic tables, making Monte Rio Community Beach an ideal spot for a family picnic. There are also BBQ grills available on-site. 

Nearby Gems: Monte Rio Community Beach is located just off Highway 116, making it just a short drive to Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve, where you can hike on trails through ancient redwoods.
