About this place

Added by Outbound

Cedar Glen Camp is a great beginner backpacking trip just outside of Los Angeles, California. Starting from the Icehouse Trailhead (also used for Cucamonga Peak), head out on the Icehouse Canyon Trail from the parking area. The trail will intersect with the Chapman Trail, at which point, you'll turn left onto the Chapman Trail until reaching Cedar Glen Camp. Simply head back the way you came to get back to the trailhead.

Dogs are permitted on leash.

CAMPGROUND DETAILS:

  • There are 10 campsites available on a first-come, first-served basis
  • There is no running water, but water from the nearby creek can be filtered
  • Vault toilet

FEES/PERMITS:

  • America the Beautiful pass or Adventure Pass is required for overnight parking at the trailhead
  • Campfire permit required although must check current fire restrictions before the trip
  • Optional: Fishing license if bringing a pole
