The Almkanal is a narrow canal in Salzburg and a perfect afternoon spot for hot days - expect very chilly water temperatures! Best to be reached by bike or longboard
Follow the pin on the map for getting there, walk to the right ride of the canal, jump in and let the current push you a couple of meters. Some people use it for swim training to swim against the current. Try it out.
For getting out of the water, grab the left side of the canal (there is a part where the wall lowers) and pull yourself up. There is not ladder to get out, so make sure you don’t miss the exit!
