Giant's Causeway

Just an hour and a half drive from brisbane you will find the little town of Fingal Heads. Park at the end of the Lighthouse Parade Rd and follow the Fingal Lighthouse Track out towards the water and explore from there.Some of the most beautiful beaches Australia has to offer are just along here, in particular this little headland has an area known to locals as Giants Causeway.

The fishing off these rocks is supposed to be second to none, but there is no easy way to get across there. Time the waves perfectly and run across slippery rocks before the next monster wave comes in and you will be rewarded with plentiful marine life. Make a false move or misstep and you'll be in the ocean before you know it. This spot offers such a beautiful view of sunrise and is favoured by photographers.
