Hike from one of Australia's most famous surf beaches along the coast to see some stunning scenery of the rugged Surf Coast Walk.
Bells Beach is one of the first stops on the Great Ocean Road and an awesome spot to either surf or enjoy the small beach town vibe in the town of Torquay. Bells has some awesome storms and surges that come through so it's a great place to surf or watch the waves break.
This trail can be either hiked or run - there are some uphill climbs but nothing significant.
Park at Bells Beach and make your way down to the walk either by way of the beach itself or walk to the end of the carpark and take the stairs down to the beach. At high tide, you will have to time your path to the trail and the waves can be big but this is the only section that you need to cross the beach!
From the other side, walk along the Surf Coast Walk, which is marked very well. Follow the signs at this point to Southside - the beach next to Bells.
From Southside, follow the route to the right as indicated towards Ironbark Basin Carpark and Pt Addis.
Keep your eye out along the way for stunning views of the ocean.
From Point Addis, enjoy the view and head back!
