About this place

Added by Outbound

Riverplace Nature Trail (Panther Hollow and Canyon Trails) is a great hike that's almost 6 miles, making for a great workout close to Austin, Texas.

This is a great trail to get some exercise close to downtown Austin, Texas. The trail at Natural Preserve at River Place is well maintained and has stairs and plenty of elevation gain to make your legs a little wobbly by the time you get back to your car. The trail is a 5.5-mile out-and-back hike, but you can turn around and head back to your starting point if this distance is more than you'd like to tackle.

Be sure to bring plenty of water as this trail can get hot in the warmer months. And keep in mind that this is an out-and-back hike, so you'll have to put in the hard work on the way back as well.

This trail is dog friendly. Please keep your dogs on leash.

Keep in mind, there are $ fees per hiker to access this location.

Wonderful Secret
Easily my favorite trail in Austin. Get there early though! It gets crowded. I would show up 7-730 am.
