About this place

Added by Parker Dodson

A gorgeous hike to one of the best kept secrets of the Upper Buffalo Wilderness.

This adventure starts at the parking area that is marked by a Wilderness Area sign. The trailhead is actually the old jeep trail that makes its way through the woods. Follow the jeep trail past a few old campsites and an camping registration box. The trail will cross over a small creek bed and then you will notice the trail split here, take the trail to the left. On this section of the trail you will come across and a very old stone wall that was made by some early settlers to this area. Continue following the trail to the left as it splits again after about a mile. Continue downhill and it will lead you directly to Magnolia Falls. This area is simply gorgeous! Climb your way down into the valley to get a better look at the falls and the awesome rock formations. This waterfall is only 26' high, but what it lacks in size it more than makes up for in beauty. The whole area is mossy covered and is accompanied with some absolutely gorgeous wild ferns. Take a minute to sit back and relax in this gorgeous lush environment. If you walk down stream you will reach the top of what is called "Woods Boys Falls". But we will save Woods Boys for another adventure!

This waterfall is best viewed after some good rain!

Totally Underrated
This hike became one of our new favorite spots in the Ozarks yesterday. We hiked to Magnolia Falls, up and along the bluff line ...
