About this place

Added by Jon King

Spend the night along the shores of Beaver Lake. With plenty of outdoor activities nearby, be sure to bring your trail shoes and Kayak if you've got one!

The campground has several sites along the shores of Beaver Lake. Its restrooms are clean and include free hot showers. The campground does not provide firewood. However, you are allowed to pick firewood from the surrounding woods. If there has been recent rainfall you’ll need to buy firewood prior to arriving. Campsites run $20/night and can be reserved at recreation.gov. Check out the map and choose a site near the water.

Make sure to bring your water gear! Beaver Lake is beautiful and worth exploring. We were able to easily launch our kayaks from the shore of our campsite (site #110 if you were curious).

There are several hiking opportunities in Hobbs State Park located on the southeast side of the lake. If you have time and are willing to venture out a bit, I’d suggest checking out the Buffalo National River area. Buffaloriver.com/ is an excellent resource showing what the area has to offer. It’s about a 1.5 hour drive from Horseshoe Bend, but well worth the trek.

How to get there:
Horseshoe Bend Campground is located on the western side of Beaver Lake in northwest Arkansas. For a reference point, the campground is approximately 8 miles east of Rogers, 25 miles north of Fayetteville and 40 miles southwest of Eureka Springs.
