A family-friendly hike with incredible scenery. It is not a well known hike and is very secluded in the mountains right next to Provo. Plenty of wildlife and beautiful landscape.
Drive up Provo Canyon and turn right on Squaw Peak Road. Follow the road til you reach the T in the road and head left on Road 027. Follow it 2.9 miles to the unmarked trail head. It is located next to a wooden fence on the right of the road and next to a sign about fire and wildlife safety. Park the car just on the side of the road. The hike is .5 miles to the summit and .5 back. The trail starts off easy and normal but becomes pretty steep right before the summit. From the summit you can see all of Provo and Utah Lake.
