Hiking at Hoffman Hills is a great workout, is available year round, and has an extremely rewarding view. Great for photography!
Hoffman offers convenient parking; there is one large lot, and one for overflow. There are trails that are easy, moderate, and difficult. All of the trails however, are uphill. Most of them end at the viewing tower, which showcases Wisconsin, and the beauty that goes along with it. A very rewarding hike indeed. The best part is the different trail options for different levels of difficulty. In the winter, there are trails for cross country skiing and snowshoeing. Hoffman is great for viewing sunsets and sunrises, and even star-gazing (which is my personal favorite). No are pets aloud, and everything is totally free.
